Your Questions, Answered.

From foot scans and insole recommendations to shipping, wholesale, and clinical partnerships, see below for everything you need to understand the NUKIX platform.

ABOUT THE INSOLES

  • Yes. You can use our Foot Type Guide to identify your child's foot type and order directly through the website — and it's backed by the same Fit & Comfort Guarantee as an app-matched order. That said, we recommend scanning with the NUKIX app when you can, since it gives the most precise match and removes the guesswork.

  • The best way is to scan your child's feet using the NUKIX app (available now through our beta signup page) — it will match them to the correct level automatically. Prefer to skip the app for now? Use our Foot Type Guide to identify your child's approximate foot type and choose accordingly — every order carries the same Fit & Comfort Guarantee either way. If you're unsure, start with The Explorer or The Adventurer — they're suitable for children with neutral alignment or mildly pronated feet and a safe starting point for both.

  • NUKIX insoles come in four levels based on how much support they provide:
The Champion™ (Level 3) — Most Corrective: our most comprehensive correction for severe flat feet or hyperpronation ($82.99-$89.99)
The Builder™ (Level 2) — Medium Corrective: stronger correction for visible arch collapse or moderate overpronation ($82.99-$89.99)
The Adventurer™ (Level 1) — Mild Corrective: slight correction for early signs of inward rolling or mild pronation ($82.99-$89.99)
The Explorer™ (Level 0) — For Development: gentle support for children with healthy or neutral alignment (from $32.99-$39.99)

  • Generic pharmacy insoles offer the same support level to every child, regardless of their foot structure. NUKIX insoles are matched to your child's specific foot type through AI analysis — delivering the right level of support, not just generic cushioning. They are also designed specifically for children's developing feet, with appropriate support angles and heel geometry for growing foot structures.

  • NUKIX insoles are available in sizes for children aged 2 and up. Specific size ranges are listed on each product page. If your child is between sizes, it's a safer bet to size up — insoles can be trimmed to fit using the trim lines on the top cover.

  • Yes. NUKIX insoles are designed to fit in most children's everyday footwear including school shoes, sneakers, and running shoes. For best results, use shoes with a removable factory insole — simply replace it with the NUKIX insole. Avoid using in very shallow shoes or sandals without full foot support. And for The Explorer model specifically, ensure you have a deep fitting shoe to accommodate the extra cushioned profile.

  • Many families notice improved comfort and how their child moves within the first few weeks. Long-term changes in how the feet respond to bodyweight and movement happen gradually, and vary from child to child. We recommend re-checking every 4–6 months as your child grows, so the level of support stays matched to where they are at the time.

  • Your NUKIX rescan will tell you. As your child's alignment improves, they may graduate from a higher correction level to a lower one — and eventually to The Explorer™ (Level 0) for maintenance. Some children may also need to move to a higher level if they need more support than we first identified.

ABOUT THE APP

  • NUKIX is an AI-powered foot scanning app for children. Using your smartphone camera, it analyzes your child's foot structure, helps identify their foot type and common patterns like low arches or inward rolling, and generates a personalized support plan — including exercises and an insole recommendation, reviewed by a certified pedorthist. It's an educational tool, but doesn't replace a medical diagnosis. The app is free to download and free to scan.

  • Yes — the NUKIX app is in beta and available to try today. Download it through TestFlight (iOS) or the Google Play beta program via our beta signup page, where you'll also get an exclusive early-access offer. Prefer not to use the app yet? Our Foot Type Guide lets you identify your child's foot type and order directly through the website — the same Fit & Comfort Guarantee applies either way.

  • Once you download the app, you'll follow simple on-screen prompts to photograph your child's feet from specific angles and capture a short walking video. NUKIX's AI analyzes arch height, ankle alignment, and foot mechanics to classify your child's foot type. The result is a detailed report with a stage-specific insole recommendation and an exercise plan.

  • NUKIX's AI was developed in partnership with certified Canadian pedorthists, and every scan result is also personally reviewed by our team before your order is released to the warehouse — so no insole ships until a real person has confirmed the AI's match is right. While the app is not a replacement for an in-person clinical assessment, it combines AI analysis with human oversight to give parents a recommendation they can trust.

  • NUKIX is designed for children aged 2 and up. Foot development is most responsive during the early growing years, so we encourage parents to scan sooner rather than later. The app can continue to be used as your child grows — rescanning every 4–6 months lets you track progress and adjust the insole level as needed.

ORDERING, SHIPPING & RETURNS

  • We currently ship across Canada. Free Canadian shipping is available on all orders as part of our launch promotion.

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days and delivered within 4-5 business days across Canada.

  • We offer returns within 30 days of delivery for unused insoles in original packaging. Beyond that, every NUKIX purchase is backed by our Fit & Comfort Guarantee — if the level isn't right once your child has worn them, contact us within 60 days and we'll re-match them to the correct level free, or refund you if that still isn't right. If you received the wrong item or your insoles arrived damaged, contact us and we'll make it right immediately.

  • Yes. You can use our Foot Type Education page to identify your child's foot type and order directly through the website. However, we strongly recommend using the NUKIX app scan for the most accurate recommendation — it removes the guesswork entirely.

CLINICS & PROFESSIONALS

  • Yes — we work with pediatric physiotherapists, podiatrists, pedorthists, and children's retailers across Canada. If you're interested in becoming a clinic or retail partner, please reach out through our Contact page and we'll be in touch soon.

  • Custom orthotics are often partially or fully covered under extended health benefits plans in Canada. While NUKIX insoles are not custom orthotics (they are prefabricated corrective insoles), some plans may cover them under orthopedic or orthotics benefits. We recommend checking with your plan provider. A receipt will be provided with every order for submission purposes.
