ABOUT THE INSOLES

Yes. The Foot Type Guide on our website lets you compare your child's feet to real examples and order directly β about two minutes, no download. The app adds a walking video and a pedorthist review if you'd like a second opinion. Both carry the same Fit & Comfort Guarantee.

Two ways, and both work. The Foot Type Guide on our website lets you compare your child's feet to real examples and shows you the matched level β about two minutes. The free NUKIX app adds guided photos and a short walking video, reviewed by a certified pedorthist. If you're between two levels, choose the lower one if they're under age 10 or choose the higher level if they're over 10 β the 60-day Fit & Comfort Guarantee covers a free re-match either way.

NUKIX insoles come in four levels based on how much support they provide:
The Championβ’ (Level 3) β Most Support: our largest wedge (6β7Β°) for significant flat feet or hyperpronation ($82.99β$89.99)
The Builderβ’ (Level 2) β More Support: a stronger wedge for visible arch collapse or moderate overpronation ($82.99β$89.99)
The Adventurerβ’ (Level 1) β Some Support: a gentle wedge for early signs of inward rolling or mild pronation ($82.99β$89.99)
The Explorerβ’ (Level 0) β Cushioning & Development: everyday support with no corrective wedge, for healthy or neutral feet ($32.99β$39.99) -
Generic pharmacy insoles offer the same support level to every child, regardless of their foot structure and can be too soft and flimsy. NUKIX insoles are matched to your child's foot type through our foot type analysis, reviewed by a certified pedorthist delivering the right level of support, not just generic cushioning. They are also designed specifically for children's developing feet, with appropriate support angles and heel geometry for growing foot structures.
-
The Explorer is available from age 2. Our corrective levels β Adventurer, Builder and Champion β are designed for ages 5 and up. Specific size ranges are listed on each product page. If your child is between sizes, size up β insoles can be trimmed to fit using the trim lines on the top cover.
-
Yes. NUKIX insoles are designed to fit in most children's everyday footwear including school shoes, sneakers, and running shoes. For best results, use shoes with a removable factory insole β simply replace it with the NUKIX insole. Avoid using in very shallow shoes or sandals without full foot support. And for The Explorer model specifically, ensure you have a deep fitting shoe to accommodate the extra cushioned profile.
-
Many families notice improved comfort and how their child moves within the first few weeks. Long-term changes in how the feet respond to bodyweight and movement happen gradually, and vary from child to child. We recommend re-checking every 4β6 months as your child grows, so the level of support stays matched to where they are at the time.
-
We recommend re-checking every 4β6 months, either using the Foot Type Guide or the NUKIX app. As your child grows, many children move down a level over time and eventually to The Explorerβ’ (Level 0) for everyday support. Some need more support than we first identified, and that's normal too.
ABOUT THE APP
-
NUKIX is an AI-powered foot scanning app for children. Using your smartphone camera, it analyzes your child's foot structure, helps identify their foot type and common patterns like low arches or inward rolling, and generates a personalized support plan β including exercises and an insole recommendation, reviewed by a certified pedorthist. It's an educational tool β not a medical diagnosis. The app is free to download and free to scan.
-
Yes β the NUKIX app is in beta and available to try today. Download it through TestFlight (iOS) or the Google Play beta program via our beta signup page, where you'll also get an exclusive early-access offer. Prefer not to use the app yet? Our Foot Type Guide lets you identify your child's foot type and order directly through the website β the same Fit & Comfort Guarantee applies either way.
-
Once you download the app, you'll follow simple on-screen prompts to photograph your child's feet from specific angles and capture a short walking video. NUKIX's AI analyzes arch height, ankle alignment, and foot mechanics to classify your child's foot type. The result is a detailed report with a stage-specific insole recommendation and an exercise plan.
-
NUKIX's AI was developed in partnership with certified Canadian pedorthists, and every scan result is also personally reviewed by our team before your order is released to the warehouse β so no insole ships until a real person has confirmed the AI's match is right. While the app is not a replacement for an in-person clinical assessment, it combines AI analysis with human oversight to give parents a recommendation they can trust.
-
The app can be used from age 2. The Explorer is also available from age 2; our corrective levels are designed for ages 5 and up. Foot development is most responsive during the early growing years, so we encourage parents to check sooner rather than later, and to re-check every 4β6 months as your child grows.

Custom orthotics are often partially or fully covered under extended health benefits plans in Canada. While NUKIX insoles are not custom orthotics (they are prefabricated corrective insoles), some plans may cover them under orthopedic or orthotics benefits. We recommend checking with your plan provider. A receipt will be provided with every order for submission purposes.
