The Explorer™ (Level 0)
The Explorer™ (Level 0)
The Explorer™ (Level 0) - Development & Maintenance Support
For children with healthy alignment, or those transitioning from corrective support.
What It Helps With:
• Healthy foot and ankle development
• Maintaining alignment as children grow
• Post-correction maintenance and support
How It Works:
Unlike our corrective levels, The Explorer does not contain a corrective wedge. Instead, it provides gentle arch support and a deep heel seat to help promote healthy foot positioning and everyday comfort.
Key Features:
• No corrective component
• Deep heel cup for positioning and stability
• Gentle, soft density arch support
• Designed for healthy development and maintenance
Important Fit Note:
The Explorer is our most cushioned insole, designed for healthy foot development and everyday comfort.
For the best fit, use in shoes with removable insoles. Remove the existing insole and replace it with your NUKIX insole. If the shoe does not have a removable insole, sizing up by half a size may improve comfort.

I requested these kid insoles for use in my son's rainboots, which are line with only a thin layer of padding. They arrived within two days of shipping and came in their own box, no damage noted. They are pretty flexible and offer more support in the arch and heel. The inserts are easily trimmable to achieve a custom size.
With all the rain we have had in the last few weeks, I am glad to have found these. They went in easily and the bottoms (in combination with the inside of the boots) are non-slip, ensuring a secure footing. My son says his feet feel better when wearing the boots now compared to before (when the padding would slip out every time he took his foot out). This is a great product. No complaints, except for maybe the price -- at $36, these insoles are more expensive than the actual boots we're using them in. Name brand pairs can be found online and pharmacies for under $20.
Gave it to my son and tried these insoles. Unlike other supports that feel rigid and uncomfortable, these have a soft, cushioned design that actually makes him want to wear them. The arch support is subtle yet effective, providing just the right amount of guidance for his developing feet.
I ordered the 5.5 to 6.5 Youth Size insoles and they fit into Asics Juniors' GEL-Noosa Tri 16 GS (Grade School) Running Shoe Size 5.5 without any trimming required.
There was no extra material in the toe area so if the shoes were sized 6.5 then the insoles may have been a tad short.
The padded support is better than the flat insoles that come with any pair of shoes. But it isn't as sturdy as quality Orthotics or custom Orthotics. It does squish down a bit as this pair of insoles has a soft padding.
The padding does give it some comfort and some shape and support.
My daughter is in between sizes right now and has issues with foot pain due to her arches being quite flat, and after only a few days has been telling me how comfortable her feet are&how much of a difference it's making in her being able to enjoy activities we love like going on longer walks etc.
Hopefully they will hold up well to an active child's wear and tear, they seem well made but not as structured as some adult insoles I have.
Pro:
sizing was right on. They fit perfectly into my Son's 6.5 sized show without having to cut them.
Con:
- This insoles are very thick, particularly from the middle to the heel. My son's feet felt like they were coming out of the shoe, especially when he runs.
- They were uncomfortable for activity. They would hurt my son's feet after wearing them in his shoes while playing soccer.
- Surface material is cheap. After only wearing them for a few days there was noticable wear and piling on the surface material. These were not made with quality materials.
Genuinely useful feedback, thank you. The Explorer is our most cushioned model, so in a shoe without a removable insole it can sit high — so pulling the shoe's own insole first, or going up half a size, usually solves it. But if he's running and needs support rather than cushioning, one of our corrective levels is the better fit. Either way, contact us and we'll sort it out asap.
